Rubix's First Thanksgiving

Rubix is thankful for:

• Being rescued from the streets of St Louis by Stray Rescue, especially before it got really cold
• Receiving quality veterinary care from the Stray Rescue veterinarian
• A full recovery from parvo
• Treatment for puppy mange (non-contagious)
• A cushioned bed (shared temporarily with Bruiser)
• Playmates
• Treats
• And loving care

I am thankful for the opportunity to help this little boy who is so full of life and eager to please.

In our first few days together Rubix has been a bundle of energy.  After nearly a month at the vet he was anxious to play.  He and Bruiser wrestle, chase, tug and run.  They are the same size and are great playmates.  Bruiser goes to his forever family on Monday after he is neutered.  Our house will be quiet again and Rubix will learn to play with the big dogs (who have been keeping their distance while the pups romp). 

My plan is working, bringing home Rubix was the right thing to do. 

PS Rubix has lost two teeth since he's been here, the tooth fairy delivers treats to pups (vs money) and is generous to deliver them to all four...even steven.
