Another milestone, Baboon can be trusted off the leash in the backyard. Yes, we have a fence, but it's not solid and he's still so little. I only do this during the day when I can see him, but he does very well. He does his business and runs back into the house. Sometimes he will follow Brady into the woods, but as soon as I call his name (or shake the treat box) he comes racing out of the trees and into the house.
He knows our house from the street too. Upon our return home from a walk or run, he gets so excited and races to the front door...wish he could teach Brady.
Baboon seems to have lost interest in my plants, although I will still find the occasional leaf or small pile of dirt. But I can't get him to stop eating the dirt outside, same with Brady. I'm not sure what is in the clay-like substance, so I just keep an eye on them both and try to catch them in the act.
We digressed a little in the potty outside department. I blame myself more than Baboon, he's been so good and I think I pushed it a little yesterday. A couple accidents that were easy to clean up.
I no longer have to crate him while I shower or nap. He is perfectly content to stay in our bedroom with Annie and Brady. He and Brady will often wrestle then fall asleep on the bed as I get ready or snooze.
