I've been walking Rubix 1.5-3 miles/day for the past few weeks and decided to take him for his first run today. Rubix is a natural born runner! He ran straight and wasn't easily distracted.
I decided to keep the route flat and easy. We ran along the sidewalk through the neighborhoods. He only slowed down to poop once. He was by my side the whole way out and sprinted ahead for the home stretch. We ended up completing 3 miles and he did great, not even panting.
He's quietly playing with his toys now, he should be calm for my guests this evening. Tonight is the 2nd annual Decorate the Beelers party! I've invited several friends who know me well enough not to expect gourmet food, but are willing to help me decorate the tree...I have good friends!
I think tonight's activities will be very good for Rubix, children of all ages to help him socialize. I've instructed them all to be gentle and patient as he continues to learn and grow.
