His first bath was quick and easy in my kitchen sink. He was so small, so skinny and probably a little overwhelmed and scared. I tried to finish it as quickly as I started it. I wanted to get him warm and dry in his foster home and start to feel comfortable in his new surroundings.
It's been 3 weeks since that first bath and he was scheduled to have another one today with his special shampoo. I had to wait for his sutures to be removed, which he did all by himself.
I put him in the sink like I did 3 weeks ago, he's gotten bigger. He filled up the sink a lot more than before, maybe he his finally gaining weight. I can't honestly say that he was thrilled with being in the sink, but he really did very well. He sat through the whole process and gratefully accepted biscuits throughout the shampoo and rinse.
Rubix is clean and shiny for his vet appointment this afternoon. They no longer have to remove his sutures, but they will give him another vaccination. I hope they will be pleased with his hair growth and weight gain.
