Missing My Boys

Fortunately my job has not required much travel in recent years.  We were required to cut back on expenses and conducted the majority of our business via conference calls.  But our business has begun to pick up (a good sign for the economy) and I had to pack my bags for a quick trip earlier this week.

Annie and Brady know what the suitcase means, but Rubix was oblivious.  He tried to help me pack my suits and shoes, I think everything I packed had his nose print.

I said my goodbyes Monday afternoon and looked forward to a productive meeting with a quick turnaround.  My great friend Gwen volunteered her services (again) and watched the dogs while I was traveling and Ryan was working, I knew they were in good hands and I needn't worry.  By the time I arrived at the airport I already missed them - geez, I've become such a home body.

Both Gwen and Ryan provided text updates on the dogs behaviour, they seemed to be doing just fine without me.  Brady and Rubix played a lot of tug of war.  Gwen gave Rubix a couple walks.  Ryan administered Rubix's medicine.  I hoped that they missed me.

Our meeting ended ahead of schedule and I was able to get on an earlier flight home!  I don't know if the kids missed me or not, but I couldn't wait to see them...and Ryan too!  I was home more than 2 hours earlier than expected and I could tell that the dogs had been well cared for.  Rubix had more hair!!!

More hair, right?!?  So cute!
